Jason Chenoweth – Youth Pastor

What do you want to know about Jason?  Well, let’s see.  He’s tall, that’s always one of the first things everyone notices about him.  He is married to this amazing woman, Jill.  She’s way out of his league, and we all wonder how in the world he ever convinced her to say “yes”.  Miracles do still happen, apparently.  He has two amazing daughters, Alivia and Annie, who take after their mom.  That’s a good thing too.

Other stuff is he’s been a youth pastor since 1992, and he’s been here at SCC since 2001.  He doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.  He loves to ride anything with pedals on it, loves being outside whenever possible, and still thinks middle school students are the funniest people on the planet.  He’ll make you watch “UHF” or “Napoleon Dynamite” if you sit still long enough.  He thinks whoopee cushions are a high art form of humor.  And he loves to push himself to do things that scare him.

But most importantly, he’s absolutely convinced that Jesus is exactly who He says He is, that God loves every single person, and that everyone has a part to play in changing the world.
